EDIT032605: Please pray that I will be included in the academic honors. I know that I won’t graduate as the suma cum laude but at least I’ll be one of those “honorable mention or cum laudes”. Pretty please! I really need your support and prayers. Required grade is 2.0 and above. I got 1.81 and I know that a lot of my batchmates have higher grades than mine but I am still trying my luck.

I just noticed that I am becoming active in this blog again. Lol. Is this a sign that I would be really on a long hiatus that’s why I am taking my opportunity to post every now and then in my free time? Nah… that’s not really the reason. I just thought of something to write now.

So what’s with the title. I just came home from my duty in the operating room and I swear, the gallbladder looks cute! Haha! Now you are getting weirder and weirder everyday, Xyla. So anyways, after chitchatting with my mom, I went online to look for some vintage dress that I am planning to wear on my graduation day. Then, I dropped by in teentalk, and saw this interesting topic. The teentalker’s question is: Paano ba maging popular sa school? (How can I be popular in school?) After reading the topic, my initial reaction was: NGE!!!! Where in the world she got that question? So anyways, I have read some of the replies and they told her to be herself, to be active in school and so on and so forth.

So what’s the say of one of the oldest teentalker and the ATE of the group?

well if you really wanna be popular as in you are in dire need of becoming popular in school.. (like you are desperate or something.. but i am not telling that you are someone like that.. just saw it in teeny bopper movies.) - either in good or bad way - then do something that people will remember you for it…

BUT for me, you really dont have to do something to become popular… Some people may be popular because they are naturally pretty/cute/handsome. Some people are popular because of acads or because of extra curricular activities.. but sis.. just an advise… Don’t really prioritize getting popular in school. Just be yourself. Your parents are not paying your tuition fee just for you to be popular. You are in school because it is your stepping stone in your future career. Just do good in school, be yourself, and be nice to everyone… Always remember that one key to failure is trying to please everyone. You never know.. that in your own simple ways, people will appreciate you for it.You may not be the most popular chic or genius student in school. But in being yourself, people will remember you for it and not even a storm or a hurricane could erase that memory in their hearts and in their brains.
