I got my toga already! Here is a pre-graduation pic. Hihi! So anways, I attended our baccalaureate mass earlier this afternoon. I wore my old black sleeveless dress because they told us that the required attire is Sunday dress. Instead of buying a new one, I just re-used what I have in my closet.
When we went to school (because we stayed in my classmate’s unit to dress up and prepare for the bac.mass), we panicked because the procession was already starting. I can already hear the famous ten-tenenenenen song of graduation. We went to look for our institute mates and while we were walking all eyes were on us. I thought they were only looking at us because we’re kinda late. But…
Someone told us that sleeveless dress are not allowed. Holy macaroni. How could they?! They said it’s in the rules. Like hello? I always visit our batch’s Yahoo groups just to check the announcements. They did not state in there the specific attire. It was really so mean of them to pull out the students who were in sleeveless tops. Many even went out to school and rushed to the nearest mall just to buy a bolero. Some just wore their “sporty” jackets while wearing their Sunday dress. (Oh my..) I couldn’t believe that they won’t allow us to join the mass because of our “so-called-pasaway” dress.
Hello?! I have been waiting for this day because this is the moment where I can thank God for all the blessings and guidance and for letting me reach this stage of my life. I didn’t attend the mass just to show off. I went there to hear the mass and listen to the priest’s homily and inspirational words. How could you embarrass the students whose only purpose is to attend the mass? That is so really mean of you…
One more thing… I heard that they won’t allow sleeveless dress on our graduation. Darn. Like duh?! Why? Aren’t we going to wear our toga? Sheesh. I won’t let that pass. I would still wear my sleeveless dress. Now let’s see if you can pull me out in the procession when my parents are watching. Now, go stop me from graduating in front of my parent’s eyes. Let’s see if you could do that in front of them. I dare you. I challenge you Ma’am Dean. I CHALLENGE YOU.
I am actually thinking if I would donate my collection of magazines to our dean and assistant dean so that they would be informed with the latest fashion. I know they would drool on it.
P.S. About the review center? My parents decided to give away the 5 thousand pesosesosesss… They’d rather pay than see me worried and busy spending my time thinking of that shiyetness than reviewing. Sheesh. 5 thou? That’s a big money. Oh well. I can’t believe I am giving in.. Bigla naglaho ang pinaglalaban ko…
