I was rushed to the hospital (for the 2nd time within a week) the day after I posted my previous entry (see below). I thought it was just one of those migraine attacks but I chilled and became nauseatic last Saturday. I checked my temperature because my symptoms are already leery. This is not just a simple migraine, I told myself. After 5 minutes (standard time for checking temperature), I realized I am febrile. I went down stairs to inform my dad about my current health status and he even scolded me for being so pasaway because I wasn’t well yet but I insisted to help in the house hold chores.

At the hospital. Sunday.

I was so pissed because the nurse failed to monitor me q30 (every 30 minutes). Whenever a fever is reported, the standard procedure of a nurse is to monitor that particular patient whether he/she is still febrile or not q1h (every hour) if not q30 or q15 (every 15 minutes). I had my blood checked and all of the values are normal. Thank God. I spent 3 hours lying on the emergency room’s bed. I still had chills and so they decided to put me under a drop light to keep me warm. I almost burst into laughter when this particular nursing attendant said, “Ma’am lagyan lang po namin kayo ng ilaw para mag-init (felt embarrassed with what he has just said and changed it immediately into –) mainitan kayo..” Haha! What do you care about my hormones?! There’s no problem with my hormones! Ack! LOL.

My dad paid freakin’ 800+ in that hospital. 400+ for the blood test (CBC - Complete Blood Count) and 400+ for their so-called emergency procedures. I can’t even remember that they did something. They just checked my vital signs as soon as I stepped my foot on that ER, and after that.. no follow up monitoring.

I went home really pissed. The doctor who checked up on me before (the one who I found hot) told me that they’re following certain protocol. Now where’s the protocol in ER? Where have the REAL standard procedures gone? As soon as I crawled back to my bed, I checked my temperature… and oh. I went home with a fever. I didn’t come back to the hospital, though. Just did tepid sponge bath on myself.

My stomach hurt last night due to unstoppable laughter. My sister was practicing for her practical exam in gymnastics and she looks silly! I swear! The whole world knows that my sister is not a dancer but a play director/script writer/guitarist. I can’t stop laughing while watching her doing those gymnastic moves with the song Get Down by Backstreet Boys. I even teased her because I can’t help but notice her flabby arms. Haha! Mean sister!

I went to PRC today to get my board rating certification which is a requirement for my job application. For the first time in my usual business in PRC, the place is soooo quiet. No rallies. No jittery applicants. No noise. I felt I was in a library. Believe it or not.

I wish I could use keyboard shortcuts in my life. Ctrl + Z to undo the things or words I have done and said, respectively. There are times that I tend to hurt people’s feelings because of my outspokenness. Ctrl + Alt + Del to end some tasks that are not working for me and start anew. Ctrl + F to find the things and people I have lost.. or even the guy whom God has set for me. (How pathetic. Haha) Ctrl + H to go back to the past and to relive the good memories. Ctrl + A, then Delete to just erase all the bad memories I really wanted to forget. Alt + Left Arrow to go forward if I’m becoming unpatient again. And many more… it’s like in the Click Movie. I haven’t watched that, though.

But I guess, that would be really impossible to happen.

Enjoy life.
Learn from your mistakes.
And live life to the fullest.

Before I went home from PRC, I strolled around FEU and Morayta first. I missed the place. I mean not really the place but the memories I’ve shared with my college friends. Still a busy place. Smoking areas are still hazy. People still come and go. Nothing has really changed or maybe I wasn’t able to notice those changes because a couple caught my attention.

Nanay and Tatay were still there. I used to buy their products (from hairpin to candies) for four years. Yes, they are street vendors and they’re too old for it. They shouldn’t be there selling what they can sell while inhaling the pollution. They should be at home resting and relishing the last years of their lives but I guess, they have no choice but to do that because of poverty. Tsk.

Thank God.
They still look healthy and alive and kickin’!

My gawd, you were admitted to the hospital? I got sick but I didn’t really need to be hospitalized. I’m sorry. :-(

So what’s the diagnosis? I hope it wasn’t dengue or something.

Yeah, doing those keyboard shortcuts in real life sure is nifty. But… dream on!

Glad you’re doing better now. Hmm, sometimes I couldn’t help thinking that some nurses/doctors don’t follow the usual SOPs. But then, what do I know about SOPs, right? Hehe.

Nice thought about the keyboard shortcuts. Onga noh, kung pwede lang sana. But then, reality nga naman. Haven’t watched Click yet too.

Ick … I’m glad you’re feeling better now.
Isn’t that weird?! It’s like Doctors don’t have to do anything, and they still get paid. I could’ve done everything they did without an education, and I wouldn’t get paid. Life’s very fair, yeah?
Keyboard short cuts are love. Makes everything ten times easier and faster. :]
    Well, take care!
    Plenty of love; Chels.
