My friends know how much effort I put in this site to make it as beautiful as possible. I wanted it to look like a real journal so I used 3D stuffs that I got from Shabby Princess. I used all my creativity in this blog. I even conceptualized it on a paper before doing it because I want everything to be organized. I did this not because I wanted to win in the Blog Awards but because it is in my nature that I want my blog to catch a reader’s attention.
Ank8 even commented in my shoutbox about my layout. She said that this is the XY signature layout. Haha. That’s flattering, really. I appreciate those people who liked my layout and were inspired to make one like mine BUT isn’t it disappointing when one copies your work without a credit?
I was replying to my shout box when I tried to visit a blogger’s blog because I was asked to link exchange with her. I was surprised with what I saw. Same words and same concept were used in her welcome page. Wtf. I checked her main blog and there, I saw the same concept with mine, even her sidebar headers. She also used flowers with alternating colors. And her navigation page is also based from mine. Almost everything were copied. She stated in her blog that she changed her layout yesterday (March 31) while mine has been working since March 5. Is that a coincidence?
I really felt sad about what I discovered. I felt that everything that I worked hard for is now USELESS. Worse part here is that I wasn’t even credited. She even stated in her disclaimer that she gave credit where the credit is due.
Argh. This is pissing me off. If you are reading this, please give me an explanation why you’ve done such thing.
Oh please tell me that I am just being fooled because today’s the April Fool’s Day. Tss.

I saw her blog and even though it’s not 100% copied, halatang ginaya.
Anyway, just always remember Ate Xy that nothing beats the original. =)

That is terribly disappointing. I know that this design is your signature. It is who you are and being copied by somebody else — very, VERY similar to yours is just like having an identity theft. But overall, you have said your own disappointment in a nice way.

Sad naman ‘yon mommykins. Pero pansin ko nga, pag gumawa ka ng layout for blogs, webpages, forum, etc… may certain xylerrific touch talaga na malalaman mong gawa ni Mommykins Xyla de Vera ‘yon. :)
Good luck sa Teen Blog Awards Mommykins. :)
