Reposting: Why does it rain?
Last week, I joined the official forum of FEU, tamarawbayan. I joined because I just become nostalgic. LOL. I like the layout of the forum. I find it so cute! Teehee! When I saw the tamaraw cartoon, I remember my “Tamaraw Headgear” that I bought two years ago during the UAAP season. So anyways, while I was lurking around the forum, I stumbled upon a link that invites us to send an article or whatsoever to be posted in their blog. It will be reviewed first before they will post it. So yeah, I registered. I thought of sharing my articles or entries here in my blog to my fellow Tams students and alumni.
When I checked their blog, I was surprised that they advertised my “favor” of supporting me in the Candy Teen Blog Awards 2008.

I was overwhelmed! I thought they were just ignoring the thread I made because there were no replies. Haha! I can not believe that I am getting this kind of support. I am not only talking about my fellow tams but also my online friends/ blog mates. I am very touched that they plug my blog and ask for additional support. Thank you guys. Really.
You know, I don’t really expect to win… but yeah, I do hope that this time I’ll win because like what I have said before, I lost last year. =D I remember what Love Guru told David Cook and David Archuleta: “It’s not all about the winning…” That’s right! I learn a lot from every contests that I join. Some people say, “You’ll win because you’re popular…” Err… Am I? You see, I don’t really consider myself as popular simply because I don’t think I am. I am just everywhere online, that’s why they know me. Hahahaha! Seriously, this contest is not about popularity. Whether you’re popular or not, if a voter or judge didn’t like your blog, they won’t vote for you. I am not also saying that my blog is the best! Haha! Maybe because these people saw something in my blog that they can’t see in others’ blogs… prolly my beautiful face? LOL. Ah, basta! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! If I don’t win, it’s okay. Charge to experience!
Anyways, that’s too much of an intro… Let’s go back to the Tamaraw’s Blog. I decided to submit my favorite entry entitled Why Does It Rain, that I posted in my ex-blog last July 2006. It was raining when I wrote this. I blame the controversial June 2006 Philippine Nursing Licensure Exam for writing this. If you have already read this, you can read it again or just skip that part. If you haven’t please continue…
As I peeked outside the window, a drop of water dived on my face. I looked up and saw the dumps of the sky. Dark, gray and loaded clouds were like rushing as if it was a race. Then once again, a drop of water fell on my face… and then it finally rained.
I was just wondering… why does it rain? Err… please don’t give me a scientific reason behind it that I read in our Collier’s Encyclopedia agesss ago. I mean, what is the purpose of rain? Does it give a message to everyone? Does it rain as a sign of blessing from our Heavenly Father? Or does it rain to punish the sinners? Or does it rain because St. Peter has to pee? Oh my… where in the world did I get that idea? Hmm… does it rain to mask our tears produced by our lacrimal glands?
While staring at the continuous shower of the acid rain, memories keep on flashing back. I remember every kind of problems I encountered and still encounter in my life. I know that every problem has corresponding solution. All you have to do is to have the courage to face and solve it by yourself. If you can’t do it on your own, there’s nothing wrong in asking for someone’s help. Right? I know that all dilemmas we bump into are duplicated with a purpose – a certain purpose that we may not know from the start but will be realized in the end. These are just obstacles in our life that makes us a better person. No one in this world lived in a perfect life. No story was made without conflicts. We all live in a world where we hit mistakes. And those mistakes leave learning experiences that we will just look back in the future and proudly say, “Hey! I finished the race!” Just think of this, if World War II came to an end, why can’t your problems, right? Man, believe in yourself. You’ll get through it. I know you can and will do it. *wink*
Now I know why it rains. It rains to send us a message that there’s always a rainbow waiting in the end. Don’t you get excited that after the rain runs down; you’ll just choose which color to slide down on the rainbow to reach that pot of gold?
I hope they’ll post it. Hehe!
Edit (05/23/2008): They posted it! Yey! Check this link.
Anyway, I have to go. In my next entry, I will post about what happened in my two-day seminar. =)

My name is Xyla, a 24-year-old Filipina unemployed registered nurse. I am a freelance writer for a nursing magazine of a review center. I aim to be a nurse leader in the future. With only 12 units left in my Master's Degree (Major in Medical-Surgical Nursing), I am ready to teach nursing students. During my past time, I kill Zombies, plant Cherry Bombs, Marigold and Melon Pult and make cheesy stuff for my boyfriend. I firmly justify that I am not too old for Glee-addiction. I hate prepositions. They make my life complicated.

It rains because St. Peter has to pee. Kidding. Nice one! They MUST post that! :]
Don’t worry ate Xyla. With the continuous support of your former schoolmates and online buddies, you’re surely gonna win this time. :]

I love the article you submitted sis, i always have a shallow view on “RAIN”, wala parang season lang, pero reading this, na inspire ako. there really are times na we have to think also what is not just on the surface, lahat kasi may meaning and may purpose
