Why do you give?
I really admire those politicians, actors and actresses or other known personalities involving their selves in charitable institutions or donating whatever-they-want-to-donate for the less fortunate. Although, honestly, I can not help but wonder about their real motives with such good deeds.
Why do they give? Is it because they want to impress and to feel good about their selves? Do they want to gain more votes in the upcoming elections? Or because this is what they really wanted to do in their lives?
I heard a rumor (I don’t know if this is true since it is basically a rumor) about a politician who asked for the media to come with him (or her) and televise his/her so called charitable work. Haha! Funny… and pathetic.
How about you? Why do you give?
I remember what I learned from school. Our motives in giving should be pure and God-centered. It doesn’t need to be announced or to be bragged about. You give because this is what your heart tells you to do… In the Glory of God.
As I end this entry, let me quote what I have just read in the Daily Bread: “With your next good deed, ask yourself: If I knew that no one would ever find out that I did this, would I still do it?“

My name is Xyla, a 24-year-old Filipina unemployed registered nurse. I am a freelance writer for a nursing magazine of a review center. I aim to be a nurse leader in the future. With only 12 units left in my Master's Degree (Major in Medical-Surgical Nursing), I am ready to teach nursing students. During my past time, I kill Zombies, plant Cherry Bombs, Marigold and Melon Pult and make cheesy stuff for my boyfriend. I firmly justify that I am not too old for Glee-addiction. I hate prepositions. They make my life complicated.
