Date with New Friends
It’s final. I have a date on April 3, 2009. I know, right. That’s more than 30 days from now and I am really excited about it.
One thing that I like about joining different training or volunteer programs is meeting new friends. Sad thing about it is that when the whole program thing is over, you’ll part ways unless you all get hired in the hospital. So anyway, I met new friends again in the hospital where I am currently a nurse volunteer. The volunteers were divided into 4 groups, just like in college. In our group, I have two close friends: Mitchie and Icy.
I don’t remember if it was me or Mitchie1 who did the first move. What I only remember is that we first talked during our hospital tour. Since I barely know anyone in the morning group, I decided to go with her. When we were assigned to our specific wards, that’s the time we got to know each other more. We graduated in the same school so we were able to relate with each other easily until we were just laughing the whole time.
Then, Icy2, the cute and petite girl in our group, asked if we, Mitchie and I, were friends for a long time. She was surprised when I told her that we just met that day. Probably we looked long time friends when we were chatting. Then the next day, on our first duty day, Icy and I were reprimanded for two times! Haha! First, we gave the charts to the billing department without an idea about what we’re doing! “Kung pupunta kayo dito, dapat alam niyo kung bakit kayo pupunta, ” the grumpy lady in that office once told us. Gosh! And the second one? Well, we were just reprimanded by the nursing supervisor for preparing medications. It’s a long story but as I’ve mentioned in my previous post, we were not allowed to do nursing procedures even preparing and administering meds. Two times in a row. Geez! So when we were asked by one of the nurses to do a favor, Mitchie accompanied us. We told her that she should always come with us to block the jinx. Haha!
That’s how we got really close. It’s amazing that we have the same likes and dislikes. Our friendship is meant to be. Haha!
Last week, when were all bored while watching over the baby I blogged about in my previous post, we talked about foods and restaurants. Then I came up with an idea…
On our last day of duty, April 3, we will go to a restaurant or fastfood we haven’t been to. As for the budget, we will donate P20 every duty day until April 3. All in all, we will be able to collect P2,000. That’s enough for a date, right?
We are all excited about this that we talk about it every single day! Haha! We only have one problem. We don’t know what restaurant/fastfood we’re going to try. Any suggestions? (Any restaurant/fastfood in Trinoma, The Block, Gateway, MOA, Glorietta, or Greenbelt) Thanks in advance!

My name is Xyla, a 24-year-old Filipina unemployed registered nurse. I am a freelance writer for a nursing magazine of a review center. I aim to be a nurse leader in the future. With only 12 units left in my Master's Degree (Major in Medical-Surgical Nursing), I am ready to teach nursing students. During my past time, I kill Zombies, plant Cherry Bombs, Marigold and Melon Pult and make cheesy stuff for my boyfriend. I firmly justify that I am not too old for Glee-addiction. I hate prepositions. They make my life complicated.

Hmm .. I’ve beeto Spicy Fingers Greenbelt several times oredy and their food is well, really good. =) But unfortunately, I don’t know how much their foods cost coz our boss always pays for the expenses. =P But truly, they serve delicious foods there.
Sa Gateway, try Burgoo. Hindi pa ako nakakakain din dun but my friend told me that their food is yummy, too. Solve na rin daw kahit medyo pricey yun foods.
I hope this has helped you somehow. Hihi.

Burgoo is like TGIF diba? Di pa rin ako nakakain dun. Laging nauudlot. Haha! Anyways, thank you. Nililista ko kase. Haha!

If you like pizza or pasta, you can try A Veneto Pizzeria Ristorante [MOA, Trinoma, Glorietta 3]. Their oil and garlic pasta is good [costs around 200 to 300, good for two persons].
Burgoo is also a good option. They have pasta, steak and burgers. Their grilled porkchops [1 pc costs around 300, good for one person] is super yummy.
Hope this helped. :]

Yung pang big groups, yung super busog na pasok sa budget and a wide variety of food choices: Dampa sa may likod ng MOA. :)

for more intimate dinners, kung gusto niyong magbonding talaga, i suggest FIVE COWS sa trinoma. sobrang sarap. specialty nila is different desserts, ice cream.. pero they now have full meals, yummy naman :)
