Xyla De Vera is a 24 year old Filipina nurse blogger. She’s been a registered nurse for four years but still unemployed. She is not proud of it, by the way.

She turns a year older every 26th of July. She earned her BSN degree in Far Eastern University (Manila). She’s currently taking Master of Arts in Nursing, Major in Medical-Surgical Nursing at the same school. She also plans to take Master of Science in Nursing in the future. Her nursing goals are the following: 1) to teach nursing students and 2) to be a nurse leader.

During her free time, she plays Plants vs. Zombies, dresses up in Polyvore & Looklet, and watches her favorite TV shows such as Glee, Sex and the City, Hawthorne, House, One Tree Hill, Gossip Girl and CSI. She also writes and doodles on her Page One notebook she named Nick Carter (she bought it on Nick Carter’s birthday) and on her Starbucks planner given by his brother as a Christmas gift .

She is happily taken by a seaman. They celebrate their anniversary every 21st of December.

Xyla fancies pink stuff, colorful things, notebooks and journals, shoes, printed dresses, polka dots, hearts and stars.

Presently, she is a free lance writer for a nursing magazine owned by a nursing reviewer and a professional bum while waiting for her to get hired where she recently underwent training.
